Errol Flynn Returns in 'Last of Robin Hood'

Our good friend Rory Flynn recently shared the news that a new movie about her famous father, Errol, has screened at the Toronto Film Festival. 'The Last of Robin Hood' stars Kevin Kline as the 48 year old Errol Flynn and Dakota Fanning as his 15 year old girlfriend Beverly Aadland, and focuses on the last couple years of Flynn's life.

    Kline looks a lot more like Flynn than he did Douglas Fairbanks (whom he portrayed in the 1992 film 'Chaplin') and he's a pretty good actor too, so expect a satisfactory cinematic experience, at the least, from this one.

    Also in the cast is Errol's grandson, Sean Flynn. Sean has been pirating since at least the age of eleven when when he joined my crew, Revenge, on one of our first tall-ship cruises. By the time he was 14 he had a television series (Zoey 101) and has recently appeared in the horror film 'The Conjuring.' 

    Apparently Tracey Ullman wasn't available to reprise the role of Florence Aadland, so it's played here by Susan Sarandon. (oh well, nothing turns out 100% perfectly).
